We offer an exciting seminar called Asian Young Women's Leadership Development Seminar in Hong Kong! With a number of women coming from various Asian countries, you can learn in English women's leadership as well as global and local issues through having discussions, workshops, Bible study and field trips!

Entry Requirement:
・A person aged 18 to 35
・A person who can communicate in simple English
・A woman who has been serving at school, a workplace and/or church as a Christian,
or a woman who is open to and has understanding about Christianity
・A person who is healthy and who has interest in social issues and a flexible mind even in a different culture
・A person who wants to equip herself with leadership and to exercise it for the sake of her community
・A person who can participate in both pre-trainings (held once within October, 2018, once within January, 2019, and once in February or March, 2019) and a debrief session held on April 6, 2019. Submission of an essay after the program is also required (Due date: April 5, 2019)

Note:
(1) A participant is required to buy a traveler's insurance designated by Wesley Foundation.
(2) The venue of the pre-trainings will be Wesley Foundation's office. However, in the case of living too far to access it or being unable to come because of a class schedule, the participant can take part in the trainings using Skype.
(3) Those who have participated in Asian Young Women's Leadership Development Seminar before are favored.

Participation Fee: 250,000 yen (The out-of-pocket expense is 50,000 yen.)

How to Apply:
(1) Program Application
A program application form must be completed. Please go to the link and fill it out.

(2) Reference Form
A reference form is also required. It has to be written by somebody who knows the applicant well (e.g. a pastor or a teacher) but not a family member or a friend. Please send us an email with the completed recommendation letter attached, or mail it to Wesley Foundation.

United Methodist Women Assembly is annualy held in Columbus, Ohio in the USA, and eight Japanese are taking part in it.

Evangelists sent by United Methodist Women committed to the foundation of four Japanese universities (i.e. Aoyama Gakuin Women's Junior College, Aoyama Gakuin University, Kwassui Women's University, and Fukuoka Jo Gakuin University).
Seven university students at these universities and a lecturer at Fukuoka Jo Gakuin are the participants this time.
